This program is designed to provide the forklift operator with an understanding and awareness of forklift operations and hazards.This training program meets OSHA's new training requirements for forklift operations (OSHA 1910.178).The course consists of classroom study (course manual provided), a written exam, video presentation, on-site hazard assessment, equipment inspection and a "hands on" performance evaluation of each operator. ** Participants will receive a wallet card (a Certificate of Completion card valid for three (3) years upon successful completion of this course). The customer will receive class rosters and course evaluations. In some states (MA & RI) this operator safety training certificate is a pre-requisite to obtaining a hoisting license.

Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
Understand technical and stability aspects of forklift operations.
- Understand how to identify work place Hazards. - Causes and results of forklift accidents. - Demonstrate how to conduct a site and equipment safety inspection. - Demonstrate through a written exam and "hands on" training, their understanding of safe forklift operations. - An evaluation shall be completed at the time of the initial training and every 3 years thereafter.
Re-fresher Training Re-training is required when there is an accident or near miss, when a different machine is introduced, when the work location changes, or when an evaluation indicates the need. (OSHA 1910.178)
