This training segment is intended to provide the participants with sufficient information regarding Confined Space Operations, identification of the related hazards and how to protect themselves against exposures to risk and harm during the execution of their assigned work activities.At the conclusion of this training segment, the participants will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of the following objectives and the related industry standards.
Objective I:
Confined Space Attendant
♦ Identify the hazards of confined spaces and confined space entry ♦ Communicate effectively with entrants ♦ Monitor for dangerous situations ♦ Order evacuations and summons appropriate rescue services ♦ Perform non-entry rescues
Objective II:
Confined Space Entrant
♦ Recognize the hazards of confined space entry ♦ Test and monitor for hazards ♦ Work closely with the attendant ♦ Respond to emergencies
